Reactivity of iron-based oxygen carriers with coal ash in pressurized chemical looping gasification

Coal ash is one of the significant factors for operating efficiency pressurized coal chemical looping gasification (CLG). To explore influence mechanism physical deposition and combination on iron-based oxygen carrier (OC) under conditions, effects content, components pressure reduction performance Fe2O3/Al2O3 OC are investigated. The micro-structure phase transformation particles conditions characterized by SEM, BET XRD. It shows that only has a inhibition process Fe2O3 to Fe3O4. resistance internal diffusion, which generated coating surface blocking pores. Then modified kinetic model developed analyze inhibitory at different pressure. There fairly strong ability new composite metal compounds ((MgAl0.74Fe1.26)O4, Ca2Fe2O5 CaAl2SiO6) particles. However, when greater than 7 bar, (MgAl0.74Fe1.26)O4 reduced (MgO)0.239(FeO)0.761, can weaken effect. Additionally, 10 Fe3O4 largely converted into CaFe5O7, inhibit formation Ca2Fe2O5.
